Damir Vrabac is a tech entrepreneur with a successful track record of building and scaling companies at the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare based on his research at Stanford.
Originally from Sweden with roots in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Damir holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from KTH and a master’s from Stanford University. At Stanford, he conducted AI research under Professors Andrew Ng and Jure Leskovec.
He is the co-founder of Valar Labs, a Stanford spinout from Prof. Ng’s lab, developing AI and Digital Pathology based tests that predict clinical outcomes and treatment response in oncology. Valar’s technology helps physicians personalize therapy decisions for individual patients.
The company has raised over $26M and is backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, including a16z, DCVC, and Pear VC.
